CLIENT: RIVALRY
PM FIGHTER
BACKGROUND:
Rivalry is an eSports betting platform. For their launch into the Australian market they needed an idea that would grab the public’s attention. But at the same time, the public’s attention was focused on something else - The 2022 Federal Election.
IDEA:
We tapped into the election hype and eSports community by creating a 16-Bit online fighter game, providing people with a unique way to back their winner. After each bout, players could brag about their KO’s via social, or open a Rivalry account and place a bet on the real-life fight for PM.
SPECIAL MOVES:
Albo’s dramatic weight loss, and Scomo’s cringe worthy ukulele playing had become big talking points around the election - so we turned them into special ‘high damage’ moves for each of the characters.
